Adams Vineyards competed against 70 commercial and 25 ametuer winemakers from North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Tennessee, Virginia and West Virginia and our Clara Breeze was the winning sweet white wine for 2017! We couldn't be more excited to see our best selling wine win a top award out of 603 entries. New Study Finds Ellagic Acid From Muscadine Grapes Exhibits Fat-lowering Effects
Great news for Muscadine lovers! Researchers from the University of Nebraska, University of Florida, and Oregon State University tested a powder made from muscadine grapes on human fat and liver cells. The powder aided in both blocking the development of new fat cells as well as the growth of existing ones, and increased the liver cells' ability to break down excess fat. DIXIE CLASSIC FAIR ANNOUNCES 2015 MID-ATLANTIC SOUTHEASTERN WINE COMPETITION BEST IN SHOW AND CATEGORY WINNERS
Winston-Salem, N.C. (September 14, 2015) — Once again in 2015, wineries across the Southeast “Feasted” on awards at the Dixie Classic Fair! The Dixie Classic Fair, the second-largest agricultural Fair in North Carolina, today announced Best-in-Show, category winners and medalists for the 16th annual Mid-Atlantic Southeastern Wine Competition. In 2015, the competition commercial and amateur winemakers submitted 470 wines for consideration in the competition.
