The tasting bar was filled with activity and laughter throughout the day. A special thank you to all those attended. Spring will be here before we know it. The days are starting to get longer... hard to believe the time changes in less than a month. Our marketing department has been busy planning several fun activities for March, April and May, be sure to check out our events page and save the dates on your calendar. Our winery production department has just finished bottling our 2010 Ellis Red Reserve , 2010 Matthew Reserve and 2010 Sweet Blackberry. For all you Blackberry wine lovers you now have 2 to choose from Semi Dry and Sweet Blackberry. Be sure to check out these 2010 vintages... they are awesome.
We have several weddings and association meetings booked for the spring. Please keep our event room in mind for your next event.

It's hard to believe we are already 3 weeks into 2010 and we already have so much to be thankful for...
* Mr. Adams is recovering from his surgery and is able to start bottling wine again

Fall is in the air and with it comes the NC State Fair. Each year at the fair there is a wine competition for NC Wineries to enter theirs wines. Adams Vineyards won 2 awards this year, pretty impressive for 1st year entry. Mr. Adams put much care and time into his wines and we are very proud of the wines he has produced. The winners were our Blackberry and Revolution Red Reserve. Please stop in and try our award winning wines.

2nd Annual Grape Stomp "Where you can still put your foot down"
If you missed the Grape Stomp you missed a fun filled day. Dr. Phil kept the crowd entertained throughout the day. Afternoon music was provided by Big Head Dog Band. This years Grape Stomp had many promising Grape Stompers. The 2009 finalist was Meghan, she really had that "Lucy" style. The last stomp off was between Meghan and last years Grape Stomp Champion Lisa. This years winner was 2 time Grape Stomp Champion " Lisa"

Happy 1 Year Anniversary Adams Vineyards! Hard to believe it has been 1 year since we first opened our doors. Thank you to all who stopped by and celebrated with us. Those of you who missed our celebration missed a real treat... our anniversary cake was made with our Revolution Red Reserve Wine... What a treat!

It's been awhile since I updated what is going on at the vineyards; It's Harvest time in the Vineyards. The grapes are ripen up nicely and we are picking everyday. We have started the wine making process in the winery, when you walk in you can smell the grapes fermenting. Mr. Adams started the process of making our very popular Apple Wine and our newest Peach wine a few months ago. These fruit wines are made from apples and peaches we grow here on our property. Each of these promises to be special treat. The Peach and Apple will once again be limited release wines and promise to sell out quickly... the wine club members will have the first option to buy the 2 new wines in November before they are released to the public.

For those of you who missed our 1st Annual Fashionista Shopping Spree... you missed real treat! The events room was filled with 29 outstanding vendors with a wide variety of products for purchase. Many of the ladies and men who attended the event enjoyed a glass of wine while shopping for great products. A special thank you to all the vendors. You did a wonderful job. Blessing of The Vineyards was a huge success. For those of you who were able to join us and take part in the blessing ceremony we thank you. The Vineyards behind the house are already taking off and filling out really well. If you missed our band Moscow Nights you missed a special treat. The band is from Russian and they put on a wonderful show.

Spring is finally here! We have been very busy at the winery setting up our New inside lounge area, the TV should be installed within the next few weeks (not quite in time for the playoffs) The outside Patio is still a work in progress, the tables and chairs are setup outside and the fire pit is working wonderfully. The plants still need to be planted... April showers bring May flowers and the music system needs to be set up outside. There are now 4 picnic tables setup where you can bring your lunch with you to spend the afternoon hanging out.
No matter your preference Adams Vineyards is now a perfect place to sit either inside or out and enjoy a glass or bottle of our full bodied wines while having lunch with your family and friend's.

We have just completed bottling our first set of reserve wines from the vineyards & winery. The wines are from the grapes we harvest in October of 2008. The current reserve list includes Ellis Red Reserve, White Spring Reserve, Blush Plantation Reserve, Semi Sweet Blackberry Reserve.
We also have 2 limited reserve wines available; Apple Reserve and Sweet Blackberry Reserve. There is a limited supply (only 170 bottles of each) of these wines for the spring season.
Wine Club members please pick up you wine shipments by Sunday, March 15th.

January and February have been very busy months here for us at Adams Vineyards. We are the process of planting our third vineyard.
Adams Vineyards hosted a Valentines dinner with live music. We are delighted that it was SOLD OUT EVENT. The food and music were outstanding. We are planning several new events for 2009. There are 2 big festivals planned for this year April 18 is our Blessing of the Vineyards and October 3 is our 2nd Annual Grape Stomp. We are partnering with My Back Porch(they are in Fuquay Varina) to host at Adams Vineyards a shop to you drop party filled with local vendors, finger foods and wine. Christmas Day has passed. I am sure many of you still have family in town and get together planned. Our Christmas mulled wine has been a huge success. The smell and taste give you that warm and cozy feeling. Visions of curling up by the fire with loved ones is what comes to mind for most. Twas the week before Christmas and all through the winery people were stirring and sipping wine. The trees are all decorated with care and the gift shop is filled with special gifts to share , in hopes that our customers will stop by for some Christmas cheer. In the crock pot there rose a wonderful smell that filled the air with a hint of spice making it wonderfully nice.

The owner of the Christmas Tree lot takes great pride and care with each of his trees. The trees are kept in water to help preserve the tree and assure it last throughout the holiday season.

The Fuquay Varina Chamber of Commerce's Professional Women's Leadership Association (PWLA) held their anniversary social at the vineyard on October 30th. Members were asked to bring their spouse and a guest. The social was a SOLD OUT EVENT! Gail and the other members of the chamber did a wonderful job promoting the event.

Adams Vineyards has several activities and trade shows planned for September and October. We will be at Grape Days at the Farmers Market on Friday, September 12 from 11 - 1; at the Southern Ideal Home Show, September 26 - 28 and a booth at the NC State Fair on Sunday October 26 from 1-5.
We are getting ready to have our first ever Grape Stomping October 4, 2008. the day will be filled with grape stomping contest, music, local artist, crafts and kid activities.

Adams Vineyards opened to the public Saturday, September 6, 2008. The storm did not discourage customers from stopping by and visiting the tasting room. Saturday was full of fun and excitement as new people tasted the 7 different wines and visited our gift shop. We invite you to stop by often and visit with us.

Last night we held our private by invitation only night. The excitement and enjoyment of the guests was overwhelming. The tastings were well received by all who participated. A special thank you all who attended and helped make this night so special.

Things are really starting to come together at the winery. Our wine is bottled and stocked on the shelves. The gift store is in the process of being set up.
Adams Vineyards has 7 different wines available for tasting and purchasing. The tasting price is $5.00 per person and includes the tasting of all 7 wines and a take home wine glass. Wine will be available for purchase to take home.
